He was born in Turin in 1925. After the war, he earned a degree in engineering from the Turin Polytechnic. Attracted to the world of markets, he soon joined the firm of his father, a stockbroker. His out-of-the-ordinary talents are the key to rapid success in the world of high finance. He married and in 1951 his son Guido, current chairman of Ersel, was born; 7 years later Paola was born. In 1965 he is a key player in the merger with Studio Treves, among the most successful stockbrokers of the time.
Thanks to Renzo's extraordinary intelligence and human qualities, the firm grew rapidly to become one of the largest private banking groups in Italy, with the entry and contribution of his sons. Sobriety, confidentiality, loyalty are the main human qualities of this silent protagonist of the Italian rebirth, combined with the ability to read not only the markets but the hearts of men. A multifaceted personality who, alongside talent in business, cultivated a passion for art and beauty alongside his love for sports: great fencing champion, expert skier, complete athlete. Above all, a philanthropist: his was the idea for an organization to help children in need, known today as the Paideia Foundation, and great was his commitment to his city, which saw him among the first members of the Council for the Enhancement of the Artistic and Cultural Heritage of Turin, where he served for two terms as president.
But music is Renzo Giubergia's true great love. He played the violin as a young man and remained a lifelong concertgoer and refined connaisseur. From this and his other passions, the idea of this Foundation was born in 2012, which aims to gracefully weave together, as he would have it, the delicate threads of art, love for His Country, for talent and for young people. Renzo Giubergia died on August 3, 2010, leaving his children and collaborators a great legacy of affection, passion, rigor and humanity
